Respect


  • Respect others
  • Respect all Leaders
    • Adult leaders, Parents
    • Scout leaders (Boatswains, Coxswains, Assistant Coxswains)
  • Respect Scout Property (den, inside stuff, tents, boats)
  • Immediate response to the Leaders “hand up” call for silence
  • One person talking at a time
  • No “put downs”

Formal attire & ceremony


  • Dressed, in crews & quiet for flag break at the start of the evening, sharp
  • Full uniform (scarves washed, ironed and folded correctly)
  • No talking at flag break/down
  • Stance as required (at “ease” or at “attention”). Hands not in pockets, or flapping around. Feet firmly affixed to the floor.
  • Hats off during flag break/down & when seated at tables

Behaviour


  • Follow the program
  • Keep focused
  • No stealing
  • No swearing
  • No fighting
  • No drugs/alcohol/smoking
  • No sexual behavior
  • Don’t play with power switcher or heaters
  • Play balls allowed out for games only & be kept under shoulder height
  • Clean up after yourself

Failure to meet the Code of Conduct


Press-ups or run around Ngati Toa Domain for the whole crew or, if the boatswains, the whole troop.
