Scouts: Food Safety Authority Award.

Guys

Well I made it through the night without interruption. The first hurdle has been passed, and After Port’s victory is looking more sound.

A huge thanks to Phil – he put in many hours organizing the menu, quantity surveying, shopping and worrying. Also to the other leaders for assistance with setup and crowd control. To all you parents for risking their health!!!!

And to the Scouts for being game enough to give this a go. Everyone helped, it looked like all had fun.

Lessons learned?
·         You can do it, cooking is easy and great fun

·         Did you follow the recipes carefully? No – only one watch put herbs in their burger. The chutney remained unopened.

·         Did you look at the pictures?  No - Only one watch properly stacked the dessert pancakes.

·         Did it matter? Not really. Lesson – follow your heart or instincts. They are usually right even if they don't follow the instructions.

Scouts: MasterChef Scouts PARENTS

Parents

The Scouts will be treating their families to a culinary delight on Thursday 24 June.

Unlike the last few years when the Watches have cooked for their parents at a house, this year Parents and families are invited to the Scout Den at 7pm where the Scouts will be cooking and presenting a three course Cordon Bleu meal in the style of MasterChef.

Cheers
