News from up North

Guys

This from up north – the Clarkes – James and Laura being ex- NTSS Scouts and Laser/Starling sailers at PBC, and Andrew and Fiona being ex-Leaders (Fiona being 1984 sailing Olympian) Michael and James were the crack S’burst Intermediates and Josh/Laura same in Junior.

They are all now with the Southern Cross Sea Scout Group in Tauranga as Venturers and Venturer leader (Andrew).

Hi Rog,

Thanks for your txt.  We are just back (late ) from Auckland regional regatta up at Whangaparoa.  200+ kids there, plus adults = 300 odd for the weekend.  Wow it was big, and guess what, James and Laura helped our little unit to FIRST overall in aggregate sailing – bet the big shots like New Lynn and Hawke in the sailing.  Of course overall, they cleaned up when rowing, iron man etc was added into it, but I was pretty chuffed to win the sailing.

By the way, the weather was 23 degrees, and about 15 knots all weekend – you should move up!!
