Napier: Pre-story

Guys
Here is a word from a YNZ judge over the disqualification issue in the Sunburst racing.

1.    In fleet racing it is the boats that race, protest and get penalised for rule infringements, rather than people. During a regatta, the crew of a boat can change (so long as that's permitted by the sailing instructions) but it's the same boat that is competing.

The Race Officer  therefore  correctly disqualified the winner #1796 (Josh/Finn) as all boats from that race had not finished, even though the winning crew had changed (Michael/Jono) for the next race.

Cheers

Roger
